1. What is your Teaching and Wellness philosophy?
I believe in the awesome potential that resides in every person and that through the practice of yoga, we can tap into our inner strength to live a more conscious, inspired and meaningful life. When we connect to our bodies through movement and breath, we are able to be fully present in our lives, both on and off the mat. As a teacher, I am here to support my students, encourage their growth and challenge them to be the best they can be.
2. Do you have a personal mantra/word to help you get through a challenging training sessions/practice? If so, would you care to share?
BREATHE! When I am in a difficult pose or face physical/mental resistance in my practice, I remind myself to take slow and deep breaths. And then I tell myself IT WILL ALL BE OVER SOON, THANK GOD.
3. Who are you inspired by?
By all my teachers, who have inspired in me a thirst for knowledge, curiosity and creativity. By my loved ones, who have instilled in me an attitude of compassion, respect and gratitude. By every challenge and setback that has kicked my ass in life, which has revealed my inner strength, taught me to trust in myself and believe that all things are possible.
4. What is your guilty pleasure?
Life is short. Guilt is overrated. Celebrate pleasure!
