1. What is your teaching and wellness philosophy?
My teaching philosophy is all about empowerment. I love to show people that with enough good attitude and effort any goal can be reached. The worst thing you can do is to put limitations on yourself by saying “I can’t.” When you accomplish something physically that is just out of your reach you gain a confidence that you can take on the world.
2. Do you have a personal mantra/word to help get you through a challenging session?
“i don’t get tired” Where the term comes from is to not allow one’s self to make any excuses for not accomplishinggoals. Of course we’ll get tired, but we’ll never stop trying to get better. Its about being strong for myself and continuing to make myself stronger, fitter, faster. I don’t give up on myself. When things get really hard…..."well, I don’t get tired so I’m going get through this." So much about being successful especially in rowing is mindset and how you approach each workout. If we tell ourselves that we don’t get tired, then the potential of where you can go is limitless. It’s about not putting any boundaries on ourselves and realizing anything is possible.
3. Who are you inspired by?
When not at OMpower, I coach a high school women’s rowing team. I get a lot of strength from the girls who are putting in the hard work everyday. They also give me strength because I have to be strong for them to lead them. I can’t let little things get in the way. Being a high school rowing coach has made me a better person.

1. What is your Teaching and Wellness philosophy?
I believe in the awesome potential that resides in every person and that through the practice of yoga, we can tap into our inner strength to live a more conscious, inspired and meaningful life. When we connect to our bodies through movement and breath, we are able to be fully present in our lives, both on and off the mat. As a teacher, I am here to support my students, encourage their growth and challenge them to be the best they can be.

By all my teachers, who have inspired in me a thirst for knowledge, curiosity and creativity. By my loved ones, who have instilled in me an attitude of compassion, respect and gratitude. By every challenge and setback that has kicked my ass in life, which has revealed my inner strength, taught me to trust in myself and believe that all things are possible.

Life is short. Guilt is overrated. Celebrate pleasure!
1. What is your Teaching and Wellness philosophy?
I practice and teach yoga and meditation as a gateway to the subtle body. I am interested in using the physical body as the vessel to access deeper levels of sensation and awareness. In my experience this provides a stable platform for profound change. The 8 limbs of yoga are the scaffolding around which I’ve built my life to greater and greater happiness. Yoga is a powerful sanctuary in which one can radically transform. As a teacher I seek to hold sacred space for my students to self-actualize.
2. Do you have a personal mantra/word to help get you through a challenging training session/practice? if so, would you care to share?
Life is change, love is constant. This mantra speaks to the constancy of compassion and love that we must hold for ourselves in a world of flux. Our bodies and minds change from year to year, day to day, breath to breath. I seek to ground my students in the practice of taking action on the mat and in the world that comes from a place of love. Sometimes that means rocking it out and setting yourself free, sometimes it means listening in and taking care of pain.
